Short version: While Indiestar’s Promotion Marketplace is optimized for Spotify, the rest of the platform acts as a universal "Manager in a Box." You do not need a Spotify link to access these powerful tools. This guide explains how to use "Manual Mode" to create professional assets (Bios, Pitches, Press Releases) for music that is either unreleased, hosted on SoundCloud/Apple Music, or distributed physically.
The "Manual Mode" for Non-Spotify Artists
We understand that the modern music landscape is diverse. You might be a SoundCloud-exclusive rapper, an electronic producer testing demos, or simply an artist in the "Pre-Release" phase where your Spotify link doesn't exist yet.
You can still use Indiestar to professionalize your career. When you add a track to your dashboard, the system asks for a Spotify link, but this is optional.
By skipping the Spotify link field, you activate Manual Mode. The system will treat this track as an "Offline" entry. You simply need to input the metadata yourself:
Artist Name
Track Title
Genre & Mood (Crucial for the AI to understand your "vibe")
Why use Indiestar without a Spotify Link?
Even without the ability to submit to our curator network, you gain immediate access to the "Our Tools"section in the sidebar. This allows you to prepare a full professional marketing package:
1. The AI Generators ("Writer's Room")
You can generate high-quality text assets using the manual data you entered.
Artist Bio: The AI will ask for your origin story and tone, then generate three versions (Elevator Pitch, Short Bio, Full Bio). Perfect for your SoundCloud profile or Electronic Press Kit (EPK).
Press Release: Enter the facts of your release, and the AI will format a professional press release. You can download this and email it to blogs, magazines, or local radio stations yourself.

Just because you can't submit to our curators doesn't mean you can't pitch elsewhere.
